Sales Director


Our company is looking for a motivated, results-driven Sales Director to implement and lead our launch in Southern California and surrounding West Coast markets. The successful candidate will have years of experience in the beverage, CPG, or the perishable food industry with established relationships within the grocery and convenience store buying chains. A candidate who shares our passion for healthy living would be a plus.

  • Independently build and drive sales and commercialization strategies for multiple new products developed by CocoJo
  • Develop annual and quarterly goals, and work towards sustaining continued growth by meeting CocoJo’s objectives
  • Build and lead an effective and high-performing team of top sales performers • Work closely with our product team to prioritize work of the sales team and develop strategic plans to meet those goals
  • Help define success metrics and objectives to ensure goals are being met
  • Actively and creatively identify new ways to establish product presence in the market
  • Develop and foster relationships with new and current accounts
  • Forecast profit, demand/volume growth, and other related goals
  • Represent CocoJo at trade functions and other events as necessary (possibility of night/weekend commitment)
  • Interact with various cross-functional departments to bring customer insight, category and competitive intelligence to the marketing plans
  • Ability to travel domestically as needed


Skills and experience

  • Minimum 5 years of relevant sales experience in the grocery industry, preferably with a beverage brand
  • Ability to work within deadlines, prioritize assignments and work on multiple tasks
  • Outgoing and ambitious attitude with ability to interact with a wide range of people
  • Strong references within the grocery/beverage industry with proven track record
  • Valid driver’s license with clean record, registered and insured vehicle in good working condition, and ability to drive to and from accounts continuously
